He is a giant and in the States a real star: The Cadillac Escalade is one of the most successful luxury SUVs in the world. For a few weeks he is also offered by us. Under his hood works a 6,2 liter large eight-cylinder. Thanks to cylinder deactivation, however, it only burns to four flames at partial load. If you challenge the steel monster and step on the gas pedal, it mobilizes up to 313 kW / 426 horsepower and maximum torque of 623 Newton meters. And they bring the over 2,7 tons heavy Allrader in only 6,7 seconds on Tempo 100. The manufacturer uses the standard consumption with 13,1 liters on 100 kilometers.
Its dimensions are likely to require a lot of patience from the owner in German car parks. Even the normal version of the new Escalade extends to 5,18 meters, in the extended ESV version it is 5,70 meters. The height (1,90 meters) and width (2,06 meters) completes the fun.
There is a real living room feeling in the interior. Big and spacious it is in edgy American. There are electrical helpers for every task The equipment, from fold-out foot strips to the WLAN hotspot and the head-up display, offers just about everything General Motors has in stock.
The Cadillac Escalade is available from 96.500 Euro on the German market. Standard features include LED headlights, adaptive suspension, an electric sunroof and an electrically folding third row of seats. Among the few real competitors in this country include the long version of the Range Rover (5,20 Meter) and the Mercedes GL (5,12 Meter).
