24h-2013 Peugeot 208 GTi is back on track

With the three new 208 GTi, the French automobile manufacturer Peugeot made an impressive statement on the Nordschleife. The Nordschleife adventure was tackled with three 208 GTi's.

In practice, the bib number 216 with the drivers Christiaan Frankenhout, Vincent Radermacher, Johnny Niederhauser and Giacomo Ricci was the fastest of the GTi. An 9: 22,488 ensured in the overall ranking for a starting place 58. After 24 hours even a total of 32 stood. Place in the classification.

The class SP2T dominated the three Peugeot completely. A clear 1-2-3 with 79, 78 and 75 race laps ensured a clear triple victory! And that at the first start of the 208 GTi. Impressive the fastest lap in the race: the GTi with the start number 208 put a fabulous time on the tarmac with an 9: 37,329.

With the starting number 208, Michael Bohrer, Stephane Caillet, Jürgen Nett and Julien Piquet went into the 24h race on the legendary Nordschleife. With a 9: 26,327, 62 was safe for him and in the end a total 39.Rang. In the class SP2T the 208 came with a round back on place 2.

The bib number 215 was steered by Stephan Epp, Mathieu Sentis, Bradley Philpot and Gonzalo Martin de Andres. In training a starting 79 jumped out. The qualifying time was an 9: 45,417. The race also finished the 215 successfully. In the SP2T it was the third place and in the overall result a considerable 46. Place!

All in all, it was a good show that the manufacturer Peugeot delivered with the 208 on the racetrack. Impressive lap times and in the end a clear 1-2-3 in their own class. Chapeau!
