In the current environmental test, Green NCAP small car under the microscope. The battery electric picked up Fiat 500 got full marks and thus received a five-star rating. the Honda Jazz Hybrid with 90 kW / 109 PS achieved 3,5 stars, the Peugeot 208 with the 75 kW / 102 hp diesel 3 stars.
The Fiat 500 scored 10 points in each of the pollutant emissions and greenhouse gas emissions categories. Since e-cars do not emit any pollutants or greenhouse gases, achieving the full number of points is not surprising. The testers also praise the energy efficiency of the battery, which is better than that of other e-cars, and also give 10 points in this category. The testers cite the standard charger as a point of criticism: It is too slow and too inefficient.
The Honda Jazz scored 19,3 points, of which 6,7 points were attributable to the pollutant emissions category. There were 7 points for energy efficiency and 5,6 points for the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions. Of the 16,8 points for the Peugeot 208, 5,1 points are attributable to the emission of pollutants, 7,2 points are attributable to energy efficiency and 4,5 points to the emission of greenhouse gases.
Green NCAP checks vehicles with the help of its own consumption and emissions tests in the laboratory and on the road and aims to evaluate the environmental behavior of new cars in detail.
