Altmühltal Classic Sprint - vintage car rally through the Altmühltal

The Altmühltal Classic Sprint is in the starting blocks for this year: The largest Franconian vintage car rally, across beautiful Franconia, begins this year on June 9th and lasts until June 11th.

"Go west" is the motto for the first day: On the evening of June 9, 2017, the participants drive through the district of Fürth for the first time on their prologue lap. Stations and special tests are planned in Zirndorf and Cadolzburg. The route leads back to Nuremberg via Langenzenn. The start and end point of the event is the Tullnaupark at the Wöhrder See in Nuremberg.

It starts there again on the morning of June 10th. Ie it goes across Middle Franconia via Neuendettelsau to the Hohenzollern fortress in Wülzburg near Weißenburg. In the afternoon, leisurely cruising through the Altmühltal is on the agenda. On June 11th, the convoy winds its way back to Tullnaupark via the Brombachsee and Georgensgmünd.

With its family atmosphere under the event motto "From friends for friends", the Altmühltal Classic Sprint has acquired a loyal fan base over the past ten years. Accordingly, today is one of the largest classic car events in Bavaria. "100 entries were already available at the turn of the year," reveals organizer Uwe Wießmath.

The organizers are expecting a total of up to 140 historic vehicles across all classes. On the one hand from the small car and top-class racing machine, to numerous exotics like a Bugatti, Bentley or Maserati and former "mayors" like Opel Rekord, Ford Taunus to the VW Beetle.
