Aston Martin AM-RB 001 - displacement instead of turbo

Aston Martin has announced further details on its planned supercar AM-RB 001. The 2019 anticipated car will feature a 6,5-liter V12 vacuum gasoline engine supplied by renowned engine manufacturer Cosworth. Performance figures do not make the British, but at least 900 PS should be. An energy boost system should provide an additional boost.

With the AM-RB 001 Aston Martin wants to set new standards for road sports cars. Jointly responsible for the project is the chief designer of the Red Bull racing team Adrian Newby. This is to give the outer skin of the RB 001 a unique downforce level. In addition the RB 001 wants to offer everyday comfort, so even in stop-and-go traffic to be well mobile. Thanks to state-of-the-art control systems, the flounder is also supposed to offer a lot of safety.

Only 150 vehicles are produced at the Aston Martin parent plant in Gaydon. There are also 25 copies for racetrack use alone. All cars are already sold out despite the base price of around 2,8 million euros. (Holger Holzer / SP-X)
