Better lights

The visual changes include a newly styled and grown grille and a revised front apron. There are adaptive full-LED headlights as standard, which are slightly flatter than the previous lights; At the rear, a new graphic of the LED taillights ensures freshness. A laser light can be ordered as an option. With blue accents on the front and rear, the iX3 is part of the BMW.Elektro family. The standard equipment also includes an M sports package and 19-inch aero wheels.

In the interior, the infotainment touchscreen has grown to 12,3 inches, and behind the steering wheel there is a digital instrument cluster of the same size. A new control island in the center console combines the iDrive controller, the gear selector lever, the start button and the parking brake button. The standard equipment includes a three-zone automatic air conditioning, new aluminum trim strips and sports seats.

New software easier to update on the BMW iX3

BMW has also expanded the range of assistance systems for the iX3. The Stromer, which is always connected to the Internet, will in future offer cloud-based navigation, a remote access app and smartphone integration via Apple Carplay or Android Auto. In the future, software updates and new functions can be installed "over-the-air".

As before, the iX3 is powered by a 210 kW / 286 PS electric motor in combination with an 80 kWh battery. The sprint from zero to 100 km / h is achieved in 6,8 seconds, with a maximum of 180 km / h. The WLTP range is 460 kilometers.
