Bugatti Chiron Sport "Les Légends du Ciel"

In the early days of the Bugatti brand's over 100-year history, aviation was an important topic. This is now taken up by a special model of the Chiron.

Bugatti is launching a limited version of the Chiron Sport called "Les Légends du Ciel", which refers to the brand's aviation past in some equipment details. 20 units of the 1.103 kW / 1.500 hp special racing car are to be built at a unit price of around 3,4 million euros.

According to Bugatti, the matt gray exterior paintwork "Gris Serpent" is a modern interpretation of aircraft paintwork from the 1920s. A white stripe extends in the middle over the entire length of the Chiron, while the carbon fiber side skirts have a tricolor paintwork. Carbon fiber was also used on the rear of the vehicle and the engine cover. Another special feature is a 3D-printed cover for the exhaust tailpipes made of Iconel. The grille is made of laser-cut aluminum and cites the pattern of the stitching on the leather seats, which are supposed to be reminiscent of an air parade formation.

The light brown leather in the interior is natural and intended as a reminiscence of the equipment of historical aircraft. The many aluminum parts in the cockpit area provide a contrast to the animal skin. Hand-sketched racing scenes from the early days of aviation can be found in the interior door panels. Door entry lights also project the edition logo of “Les Légends du Ciel” onto the floor. As an option, Bugatti offers a two-part glass roof, which, like previous planes, reveals a view of the sky.
