Standard and optional equipment for the Citroën Berlingo Multispace

Citroën currently offers four equipment lines:

  • Attraction as a basis or for the basic equipment
  • Tendance as an upscale variant
  • XTR as an equipment variant that also gives the exterior a little more rusticity
  • Exclusive is the best equipment line

Attraction

In the basic version, the Berlingo comes to the customer on steel rims with hub caps and also does not have sliding doors on both sides. In addition, the tailgate can only be opened in one piece. However, the basis for the safety equipment has already been well formed - both four airbags as well as ABS / ASR and ESP are on board.

Trendy

As a trend, the Berlingo is becoming much more attractive. The scope of delivery now includes air conditioning, armrests for the first row, a height-adjustable driver's seat and sliding doors on both sides. Head airbags are also included for both rows of seats. And from Tendance, the music from MP3 songs plays over four loudspeakers.

XTR

Even as an XTR, the Berlingo only partially follows the trend towards light, macho SUVs. With the XTR package, the body receives a few distinctive bumpers and a switch in the cockpit that says “Grip Control”. This control influences the slip control of the driven drive axle. This makes light off-road driving easier to master. In addition, the attractive comfort features such as folding tables on the front seats, tinted side windows with additional sun blinds, fog lights with cornering lights, rain sensor and automatic driving light switching find their way into the Berlingo.

Exclusive

Even as an exclusive, the Berlingo remains a down-to-earth everyday companion. The exclusivity is limited to an almost complete equipment with many practical detail solutions. This also includes a removable 30 liter container between the front seats. A parking aid at the rear end of the Frenchman and air conditioning with fully automatic control.

Space in every corner - Berlingo Modutop package
The Modutop package with additional shelves. Standard in the Exclusive and XTR equipment.

Optional extras

If the five seats of the Berlingo are not enough for you, you can opt for the “890-seater family package” for €7.

Citroen Berlingo recommended seven-seater

7-seater family package:
Single seats (3) in the second row with the following equipment:
• Backrest adjustment
• Folding backrest
• Wrapped seats
• Removable seats
• Trays on the backrests of the front seats
• 12 volt socket in the rear side panel
- Single seats (2) in the third row with the following equipment:
• Folding backrest
• Wrapped seats
• Removable seats
- Child lock (electrical) on the sliding doors at the rear
- Center console with storage compartment (13 liter volume)
- Sun blinds on the side windows of the second row of seats
- Additional interior mirror

However, this equipment is only available for the Tendance version.

Those who shy away from the surcharge of 2.700 between the Tendance and Exclusive variant can order some useful extras as a package in their new family van. However, if you like the LED daytime running lights as well as the cruise control and the air conditioning, then the surcharge for the Exclusive or XTR model is worthwhile.

The question remains whether you can find your daily route without navigation?

With the navigation system called eMyWay, which consists of a 7-inch display, a map of Europe, dynamic route guidance and a Bluetooth hands-free system, you can get along well in everyday life. The input using the rocker switches on the radio control is a little annoying. Unfortunately, the display is not a touchscreen. The route guidance was fixed and the system also quickly recalculated if departures were missed. For €1.190 you get - at a fair price - not only the navigation solution, which is visually better integrated than retrofit solutions, but also the hands-free system for the telephone.
