Citroen presents the revised Berlingo at the Geneva Salon (5. to 15. March). The model, which is available as a high-roof estate car and as a delivery van, has new design elements, more technology options and clean engines. The market launch will take place in July, the list prices should continue to start at around 17.500 euros.
The most striking change is a new front apron, which is now also available in four different versions for the car variant: from robust, plastic to robust, off-road style. Inside there are new seat covers and a new operating system via touchscreen. The technical upgrade also includes a city emergency brake assistant and a reversing camera.
The diesel engines have been revised and now meet the Euro 6 emissions standard. For cars and commercial vehicles, the range includes three diesels with performance values of 55 kW / 75 PS, 74 kW / 100 PS and 88 kW / 120 PS. Sparmeister is the medium variant, which should only use 4,1 liters of fuel with the optional start-stop system. The well-known Euro-5 diesels will initially remain in the range for the delivery van.
The Berlingo is one of the founders of the high-roof combi segment. The current generation has been built since 2008, 2012 was given its first lifting. The revised version competes against the newly renovated competitors Fiat Doblo and VW Caddy, among others. In addition, the twin company Peugeot Partner should also receive a revision in the summer.
