Citroen removes gasoline engines from the C5 range. Mid-size sedans and wagons are now only available as diesel. You can choose between the two well-known 2,0-liter four-cylinder engines, which after adapting to the Euro 6 standard come to 110 kW / 150 PS or 133 kW / 180 PS. The more powerful engine is coupled to a six-speed automatic as standard. The previous top diesel with 2,2 liter displacement and 150 kW / 204 hp will be removed from the range, as will the two 1,6 liter petrol engines. The prices for the C5 family now start at 31.690 euros for the sedan.
The C5 is about to be replaced. For 2016 or 2017 at the latest, the new generation of the mid-range model is expected to be on the PSA Group's new modular platform, just like its also renewed model brother, the Peugeot 508.
