Oldtimer Motorsport and Jaguar

I honestly have to admit, when I think of classic cars in motorsport, I often only think of the successes of Mercedes-Benz. The image of the silver arrows is too anchored in my head. There is a brand from England that has just as much tradition in classic motorsport and maintains these traditions with love and enthusiasm:

Jaguar classic

What will roll out there at the weekend as part of the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix should not only make the hearts of classic car lovers of the English brand beat faster. The classics are always a magnet for every motorsport fan. In an E-Type one-make cup, up to 22 E-Types will stay among themselves. There are also numerous other models from the D-Type, C-Type series and, in the Historic Marathon, the Mk II.

I am particularly excited when I think of the sound of the XK120 - the “emergency solution” at the time was only intended to fill a gap and later became a real enthusiast vehicle. A 3.4 liter in-line six-cylinder will work here, which among other things became famous as the first Jaguar engine with 2 overhead camshafts.

However, the Jaguar press department is causing me real difficulties, because in addition to the program on the Nürburgring - as I said, the AvD-Oldtimer GrandPrix takes place, the current range of Jaguar models will also be available for test drives.

No matter what I will do on the ring - there is a lot about the kitty. The only question is: Do I drive the new models or do I watch the old models .. * hach * Heavy motor blogger life.
