Porsche owners will soon be able to order their vehicle in classic paintwork from bygone eras. However, this costs and requires a little patience.
Porsche drives it colorful like last in the 1980s and 90s. The exclusive manufacture of Sportcarsbauers is expanding its range of standard and special coatings by more than 160 tones. These include the shades known from the 90s, maritime blue, star ruby and mint green. There are two general categories to choose from. With "Colors of your choice", the customer can choose from among paint tones that have already been technically approved by Porsche paint experts. The “color of your choice” can be ordered from April 2022. The surcharge is between 9.000 and 10.000 euros, depending on the model. The delivery time is extended by around three months compared to vehicles painted in the standard color.
Not every color is suitable for painting
The category “Color of your choice plus” allows the implementation of an individual request. This option is available for the 911, 718 and Taycan series and costs between just under 18.000 and 20.000 euros. The customer's request is first checked to see whether it is suitable for painting. If this is not the case, the customer will not incur any costs.
