Dacia Logan MVC Stepway - pleasant instead of just cheap

Dacia puts a chic lifestyle version at the side of the 8.000 Euro combo Logan MCV. In the new Stepway version of the edgy wagon wearing a fashionable off-road vehicle dress and comes up with a full set of features. The crossover station wagon premieres at the Geneva Motor Show (9 until 19, March).

From the rather unadorned standard Logan, the Stepway sets among other things by a two-tone front apron, black side skirts and wheel arches widening and an indicated underrun protection at the rear. The five centimeters higher body ensures better progress on bad roads, four-wheel drive, however, there is not.

In the interior, chrome trim enhances the cockpit, front power windows and a center armrest increase comfort. Other features include park beeper at the rear and hill start assist. Optionally, a rear-view camera is available. Base engine is an 0,9-liter turbo gasoline engine with 66 kW / 90 PS, alternatively, there is an equally strong 1,5-liter diesel. Later, a LPG version of the gasoline will follow.

Prices for the Dacia Logan MCV Stepway does not name the Renault subsidiary. It is clear that the crossover station wagon will be far removed from the approximately 8.000 Euro, which at least costs the base Logan. If you orient yourself on the Stepway model of the smaller Sandero (from 9.900 Euro), around 11.000 Euro seems realistic. (Holger Holzer / SP-X)
