Dacia will launch a new generation of the Sandero in the coming months. It is very modernized. However, there is an old friend under the new sheet metal dress.
Renault offshoot Dacia has published the first pictures of the new Sandero generation. The French are holding back details on the new edition of the small car series until the end of September. Still, the pictures reveal a lot.
The new Sandero looks significantly modernized. The Y-shaped LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlight units are striking. The doors have modern bow handles. The beads in the bonnet are also noticeable. Overall, the vehicle appears flatter and more elongated than before. It is no coincidence that the proportions of the third Sandero generation are reminiscent of the Renault Clio IV, which was built between 2012 and 2019. In view of this technology donor, the upcoming Sandero should have more modern and more powerful engines, more assistance systems and new infotainment technology.
In addition to the well-known hatchback versions Sandero and Sandero Stepway, Dacia also shows the four-door version Sandero Logan, which will probably not come to Germany. The premiere of the new Sandero for the Paris Motor Show in October was planned for the long term, and will not be due to the corona pandemic. The new Sandero generation will probably come onto the market in Germany in spring 2021. Prices are not yet announced. At around 7.300 euros, the current Sandero is one of the cheapest new cars on the market. The exciting question is how much the price of the new edition will rise.
