Data and facts about the concept car

Jaguar CX-75 technology

Jaguar wants to build high-performance sports cars even more efficiently and sustainably:

  • The C-X75 project provides key technologies from which all future Jaguar vehicles will benefit
  • Core technologies are lightweight construction, aerodynamics, efficient combustion engines and electric motors (hybrid technology)
  • The first C-X75 prototype was shown in Paris in 2010 and had a micro-turbine
  • The parent company Tata Motors has invested in the company Bladon Jets and is paving the way for the coming turbine technology
  • However, the ambitious schedule of the C-X75 currently excludes the implementation of this future technology for series production
  • A later small series is planned for 250 vehicles
  • Five new prototypes are currently being built
  • A plug-in hybrid motor is planned as the drive
  • The efficient gasoline engine and the electric motor lead to an all-wheel drive
  • A lithium-ion battery will be available as a battery for the electric motor
  • The petrol engine will have 4 cylinders and a displacement of 1,6 liters
  • The petrol engine guarantees range and performance
  • Despite a 75% reduction in displacement, the C-X68 will do as much as a 5 liter V8
  • The body will be made of carbon
  • The CO2 emissions should be below 99 g / km
  • The electric motor alone should have a range of approx. 60 km
  • The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h should be about 3 seconds
  • The maximum speed should be over 300 km / h
  • The exterior design follows the study, the interior will change
  • The C-X75 is being developed in cooperation with the Formula 1 forge Williams
  • Thus innovative technologies from Formula 1 flow into the project
