Ferrari SF90 Spider - a speedster that does without a roof

A Ferrari without a roof - this is a real novelty, but otherwise almost everything is as it was with the 1000 hp sports car. It took Ferrari to finally remove the roof from the SF90 Stradale, the first plug-in hybrid, now the time has come. The Italians proudly presented the SF90 Spider, which has more to offer than just its 1000 hp.

These engines were installed

Four engines form the heart of the four-liter V8 gasoline engine with 780 hp and a torque of 800 Newton meters. But that's not all, because the Spider also has three electric motors. Two of them can be found in the front axle and one in the rear axle. This concentrated power from all the units is then transferred to the four wheels via an eight-speed dual clutch while driving. The Ferrari's sprint is impressive because it can go from zero to 2,5 km / h in just 100 seconds. The car takes seven seconds to do 200 things, and the top speed is a whopping 340 km / h.

The electrical output is poor

A Ferrari that drives silently with an electric motor - for fans of Italian sports cars it's something of a sacrilege. The range of the 7,9 kWh battery is correspondingly meager. If you switch to electric, you can drive a full 90 kilometers with your Ferrari SF25 Spider. Apart from the sprint to 200 km / h, in which the Spider is only three tenths slower than the Coupé, the performance is the same. Although the SF90 Stradale has no roof, but reinforced doors, it weighs 100 kilograms more.

An expensive pleasure

The Ferrari needs 14 seconds to be “topless”, but this luxury has its price. The Spider from the traditional Ferrari company is to come onto the market in 2021 and whoever wants to drive it should have up to 470.000 euros left over, depending on the equipment.
