Abarth lifts 595 Custom, Turismo and Competizione - Turbo Triple optimized

Released: The Abarth 595 family has been visually and technically revised

He wants to be the first at the traffic lights, but he had to be patient during the technology upgrade: the Abarth 595. While the Fiat 500 was refreshed in summer 2015, the fleet 500 derivative is only now benefiting from the numerous improvement measures. These give the 595 in all three variants many innovations inside and out as well as a few additional horsepower.

The face of the 595 is strikingly new. For example, a lower black front apron inspired by the 695 design makes the ball lightning even more aggressive. In addition, the oval LED daytime running lights give the face a more modern touch. In addition, the diffuser was drawn even more striking at the rear. In addition, Abarth offers new colors such as Modena yellow, Abarth red or iridato white. Also new two-color finishes are in the program.

The interior has also been modernized. So there is a digital instrument cluster in racing design, while the sports steering wheel is now flattened at the bottom. The ambience can be enhanced with Alcantara and carbon applications. Two new infotainment systems of the Uconnect generation with 5 or 7 inch screens are also available. A navigation system, a DAB radio and the connectivity systems Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available. Abarth also optionally offers a 480-watt audio system from Beats with seven speakers.

The little Abarth sweepers are also upgraded in terms of performance. The custom variant with originally 140 hp will in future produce 145 hp. The Turismo version also increases by 5 to 165 hp. The hardcore variant Competizione alone has to be satisfied with the previous 180 HP. In future, a performance package with a mechanical limited slip differential on the front drive axle can be ordered for the Competizione. This delicacy called DAM was derived from the 695 Biposto and is intended to provide more grip when accelerating and cornering.

All three Abarth 595 versions can be ordered now. As before, the prices should start at just over 18.000 euros for the custom variant. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
