Fiat Professional now also offers the Ducato with natural gas. The four-cylinder engine complies with the Euro 6 emission standard and is available in the panel van version with or without windows, in the station wagon, and for the up to nine-seat Ducato Panorama minibus. At least 34.310 Euro net costs the entry-level version for the smallest van.
The 3,0 liter four-cylinder in the Ducato Natural Power delivers 100 kW / 136 horsepower and accelerates the transporter to a top speed of 159 km / h. According to the manufacturer, the consumption should be at 13,1 cubic meters of natural gas per 100 kilometers. The turbo engine runs in normal operation from the start with natural gas. Only when the gas supply is used up, the engine electronics automatically switches to gasoline operation. Around 100 kilometers you should come with the reserve of 15 liters.
The range with CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is around 400 kilometers. The five gas cylinders with a capacity of 220 liters or 36 kilograms of natural gas are located under the vehicle floor. Thus, the cargo space volume is retained in comparison to a conventionally driven Ducato unrestricted.
In addition to the Ducato, Fiat Professional also offers the Doblo and the Fiorino with natural gas drive.
