The new PARTYGeneration is not yet on the market, as the ST sports version is already presenting itself at the Geneva Motor Show (March 9 to 19), tickling 147 kW / 200 hp and 290 Newton meters of torque from a small three-cylinder with a displacement of 1,5 liters , The sprint from a standing start to 100 km / h is ticked off after 6,7 seconds. The technical arsenal of the three-cylinder engine is impressive: in addition to turbocharging, there is gasoline injection and variable cam adjustment. The exhaust gases are chased through a soot particle filter, and cylinder deactivation also helps to save fuel in the partial load range. According to Ford, the ST emits 114 grams of CO2 per kilometer, which would correspond to a consumption value of 4,8 liters per 100 kilometers.
The Fiesta ST visually shows muscles. Side skirts, 18-inch wheels and a large, two-part grille with honeycomb structure emphasize Cologne's dynamic appeal. Thanks to an extensively revised chassis with a wide track, it should also offer more curve fun. Recaro seats keep the front occupants in an upright position.
The new Fiesta ST is fast, but not quickly available on the market. It doesn't start until 2018. Ford has not yet quoted prices. Currently you have to pay around 134 euros for the 182 kW / 21.000 hp ST. Alternatively, a stronger version called ST4.000 is offered for an additional 200 euros. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
