With a starting price of 35.000 Euro comes the Ford Mustang on the German market. The basic variant is powered by an 231 kW / 314 PS turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders and 2,3 liters of displacement. Features include leather upholstery, Xenon lights and air conditioning. In addition to the coupe, there is also a convertible with electric fabric folding roof, which costs 39.000 Euro.
Those who choose the GT model with the classic eight-cylinder engine will pay 40.000 Euro for the coupe and 44.000 Euro for the convertible. The 5,0 liter petrol engine delivers 308 kW / 418 PS. Compared to the four-cylinder version, a Brembo brake system, extra-wide rear tires and a double-pipe exhaust system complete the features. Against 2.000 Euro surcharge stands for both engine variants instead of the manual six-speed automatic transmission with six levels to choose from.
The only Mustang competitor in the narrower sense is the Chevrolet Camaro on the German market, which remains in the trade even after the brand has withdrawn. It is only available with an eight-cylinder engine, prices start at 39.990 euros for the coupé and 44.990 euros for the convertible. Both muscle cars also compete against German competitors such as the BMW 435i / M4, Audi S4 or Mercedes C 450 AMG / C 63 AMG, but undercut them by five figures in price.
If it is not enough for the new Ford Mustang in 1: 1, then maybe for the model car?
