New diesels for Ford Transit and Transit Custom - update for the pack donkeys

A new engine and new assistance systems are moving into the Ford transporter Transit and the smaller Transit Custom

A new engine and new assistance systems keep in the FordTransporter Transit and the smaller Transit Custom feeder. The new Euro 6 diesel with 2,0 liter displacement celebrates its premiere in the commercial vehicle series. The unit is available in the power levels 77 kW / 105 PS, 95 kW / 130 PS and 125 kW / 170 PS and replaces the previous 2,2-liter diesel.

The new engines of the so-called EcoBlue engine family should be more economical and, thanks to costly exhaust aftertreatment with AdBlue injection, also cleaner and more durable: Ford extends the service intervals from previously 50.000 to now 60.000 kilometers within two years. The drives are available for all bodies. Prices start at 32.900 Euro (27.650 Euro net) for the Transit box van and 31.000 Euro (26.000 Euro net) for the Transit Custom box van, each with the smallest diesel.

The standard ESP of the vans has been supplemented with new functions: For example, the anti-skid system from the factory includes Crosswind Assist, a cornering control that stably brakes the vehicle in a too quickly approached corner and a rollover protection by targeted braking intervention. Optionally, additional assistants known from the car models of the brand are now available, including emergency brake assist and adaptive cruise control.
