The is particularly generously equipped Ford Mondeo Vignale available from September. The Vignale equipment line is primarily intended to appeal to commercial customers and the self-employed, who would like to enjoy a little more comfort and services than previously offered. As a four-door, the Mondeo Vignale in conjunction with the 143 kW / 203 hp two-liter petrol engine costs from 40.700 euros, the dominant combination variants (tournament) in Germany are 1.000 euros more expensive. The Mondeo hatchback is not offered as a Vignale.
The surcharge for the highest comfort version Titanium to date is 6.550 euros. If you want to enjoy this plus for the Mondeo, you have to dig deeper into your pockets or accept higher leasing rates than before.
Visually, the Mondeo Vignale differ from the other versions by a grille with a striking hexagon pattern and by many chrome applications. The standard equipment includes leather upholstery on the dashboard, the center console and armrests, leather sports seats with seat heating, ambient lighting with LED technology, LED headlights, reversing camera, Ford Sync 2 with 8-inch touchscreen and voice control as well as lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition. There is also the active noise cancellation system "Active Noise Cancellation", which almost completely filters out engine noise. A special acoustic glass in the side windows also reduces wind noise.
According to the motto "time is money", business customers should be lured with a special range of services. So there is a personal customer advisor who takes care of the buyer and, for example, integrates the buyer's smartphone into the Sync 2 system before the vehicle is handed over. A pick-up and delivery service for inspections or for the free car wash or a 24-hour hotline for problem solving of all kinds around the car are also available. Around 90 dealers are currently being upgraded as a Ford store in Germany.
When it comes to the range of engines, Ford assumes that customers like to be on the go quickly and does without the weaker engines of the Mondeo in the Vignale range. The powerful units are available for both the station wagon and the four-door.
The two 2,0-liter petrol engines with 149 kW / 203 hp and 176 kW / 240 hp are used as well as the two-liter diesel with 132 kW / 180 hp. This can now also be combined with all-wheel drive - of course also in the already known Mondeo versions. According to Ford calculations, the top and volume model will be the new 2,0-liter diesel with 154 kW / 210 hp, which with 450 Nm has more than a decent amount of power. The bi-turbo (from 45.500 euros, tournament) is always coupled to a six-speed DSG.
