The new Honda Jazz will only be hybrids. That's good for CO2 output. Good for the look is a new model variant.

The new Honda Jazz is launched in Europe exclusively with hybrid drive at the start. The fourth generation of the Japanese small car comes to Europe in the middle of 2020. A price does not yet call the manufacturer. The current Jazz starts in conjunction with a 75 kW / 102 PS strong 1,3-liter gasoline engine from 17.290 Euro.

Honda sets the new jazz on the two-engine system from the compact SUV CR-V. As a rule, the internal combustion engine does not act directly on the wheels, but instead drives a generator that produces electricity for an electric motor. Exact information about the burner and the electric motors makes Honda not yet. Conceivable would be a combination with the already known four-cylinder petrol engines from the current jazz range, the 1,3-liter gasoline engine or the 1,5-liter with 96 kW / 130 PS.

Visually, the new remains true to its proven style, but takes on the front design elements of the purely battery electric vehicle Honda e and now drives with narrower A-pillars. New is the model variant Crosstar, which pulls the optical SUV map and has more ground clearance, an independent grille design and an integrated roof rails. Details of the exterior dimensions and the trunk volume does not yet exist, but the jazz should be as usual with a length of about four meters at the start.

Honda Jazz Interior Rear Detail

The interior is airy, new seats to improve comfort and give better support. In the rear, there are still the so-called "Magic Seats", which allow a versatile seating configuration and thus a good variability. In addition, modern infotainment systems, including smartphone integration, have arrived. In the assistance systems, Honda is now using a high-resolution camera that replaces the previous combination of camera and radar, thus leading to more precise results.

The current third edition of jazz has been on the market since 2015. The predecessor was already having a hybrid drive between 2011 and 2015.
