McLaren continues to hold on to the combustion engine. But the electric age will dawn for the British sports car manufacturer as well.
British sports car maker McLaren will launch a new electrified supercar called Artura in the second half of 2021. The upcoming model combines a completely new platform architecture with a likewise new high-performance hybrid drive train consisting of a V6 petrol engine and an electric motor. The new double heart from McLaren is said to provide the performance level of a larger V8 as well as higher torque. In addition to the dynamic driving characteristics of a super sports car, the Artura should also master emission-free driving in the city. McLaren has not yet revealed any further details.
