Transporter provides Hyundai All imaginable variations for the global market have been around for over two decades, and smaller delivery vans such as the H1 have long been available in Germany. The H28.440 chassis is now available in the 350-ton class from 3,5 euros net, while the cheapest cargo version - the windowless van - starts from 30.980 euros net (36.866 euros gross). The drive is a 2,5 liter diesel with either 110 kW / 150 PS or 125 kW / 170 PS. As expected, the basic version is lean, but the customer is not necessarily demanding. If you have to pay attention to the budget and are mostly traveling alone, you can live with a driver airbag.
According to the manufacturer, the total consumption according to NEDC ranges between eight and ten liters. The extent to which costs are important for commercial vehicles shows that even electrically adjustable mirrors are not a matter of course. This is where the expansive dimensions advertised elsewhere take their toll: the right-hand mirror is difficult to adjust in the manual version without outside help - so please make a check here.
When the price chapter comes up, Markus Schrick, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Germany, waves it off. The aim is not to offer volume at any price, but to offer good value for money and solid growth. So prospective buyers don't have to expect spin prices, but you get a high-quality product for which those responsible vouch for three years - the usual competition is only a two-year guarantee. In fact, the Hyundai team doesn't have to hide, the great loading professional makes a good impression. A total of 25 shelves, controls at hand and clear instruments make the driver's everyday life pleasant in the H350. And because the eye eats, the designers donated a lot of elements from the brand's car representatives to their donkey. The multifunction steering wheel, for example, is just as well known as the operating logic. Enter- and infotainment are just as important for delivery vans as they are in the passenger car sector, so screen navigation and Bluetooth hands-free calling are also available - optionally at prices that will become known later. On the safety side there is hill start control and lane departure warning, the autonomous braking system or the collision warning has to be delivered by the manufacturer.
There is a lot of individuality in the practical things of transporter life. How far do the rear door panels open, which doors (keyword sliding doors) are there at all, and should they be glazed. The 44 selected van dealers of the brand help with various types of load security - there is currently nothing more. So it may be that the Hyundai representative around the corner only sells cars.
The fundamental question remains about the engines. Whether 150 or 170 horses - the performance is close to each other. You have to shift properly to get out of the way quickly, so if you switch from the H1, you will clearly notice that you are moving a heavy chunk here - but the traction is enough to cope with everyday life. In view of the vehicle league, it is obvious that the engine makes no secret of its type of combustion, but you can order more insulation. Relatively dresser chairs and solid material processing speak for the newcomer. By the way, there will also be a passenger van next year. Hopefully the rear-wheel drive small truck will soon also come with an automatic system, which the customers would thank him for.
