Infiniti QX50 Concept - with co-pilot and economy petrol

Already in April 2016 has Infiniti with the study QX Sport Inspiration given a preview of the new edition of the midsize SUV QX50. At the beginning of 2017, the Nissan-daughter becomes more concrete and shows at the Detroit Motor Show an advanced, already close-to-production variant called QX50 Concept.

A powerful grille flanked by sharp-looking headlamps, chic character lines and the rear as usual today coupehaft sloping roof - the QX50 is powerful and noble. Infiniti calls the design language "Powerful Elegance".

Among other things against Mercedes GLC will compete the new Infiniti QX50

In order to be able to compete in the tough competition against the Mercedes GLC, however, it takes more than just a chic shell. Among other things, Infiniti upgrades the QX50 technically for semi-automated driving skills. Thus, the future production model on the highway with the help of an electronic co-pilot will keep the track or in stop-and-go traffic can independently follow the front end.

As a further innovation module Infiniti has equipped the concept vehicle with its new two-liter turbo gasoline engine with variable compression. The four-cylinder VCT called 200 kW / 272 PS and 390 Newton meters to provide the power of a V6 gasoline engine, but at least in theory, efficient as a diesel engine work.

Powerful Elegance calls Infiniti the new design line of the QX50

Probably this year, Infiniti will launch the QX50 in the US. Whether the series in Germany will close the gap between QX30 and QX70, is still uncertain.
