The suffix “R” after the model name has stood for “more” performance combined with a sporty design and high comfort at Jaguar for 25 years.
The new performance sedans from Jaguar, the XJR and the XFR-S want to prove once again that the attributes noble and sporty are not mutually exclusive.
While the XJR expands the “R” model series from Jaguar, the XFR-S moves up as a supersport version into the league of the “RS” series, which is trimmed for maximum performance. In addition to the sportier look, the vehicles also set new accents under the hood. Both sedans use a charged 5,0-liter V8 unit with 405 kW (550 hp), which honors the pressure on the gas pedal with powerful acceleration.
With an electronically locked top speed of 300 km / h, the Jaguar XFR-S represents the currently most powerful and fastest sports sedan in the brand history of the British big cat. The latest engine technologies, the intelligent eight-speed automatic transmission, active differential control and the adaptive damper system raise driving dynamics to a new level.
Both models have the modern eight-speed automatic, an active differential lock and an adaptive damper system and can now be ordered from Jaguar dealers in Germany at prices starting at 107.800 euros for the Jaguar XFR-S and 141.310 euros for the Jaguar XJR will. Of course, both models are also on the Jaguar stand International Motor Show in Frankfurt (September 12-22).
