In the Euro NCAP test of 2014, the Lexus NX 300h a five star rating. It achieved ratings in all individual criteria that were significantly above the minimum requirements of five stars and is therefore one of the safest vehicles in its segment.

The NCAP test program has been divided into four areas since 2009:

In the side impact test, which is one of the criteria for occupant protection, the NX 300h achieved its best result for excellent protection of all critical areas of the body.
The tests showed that the front seats and headrests as well as the rear headrests had an excellent protective effect in the event of a rear-end collision.
In the child safety tests, the NX 300h performed particularly well in terms of protecting 18 months and three year old children. In the pedestrian protection category, the bumper was awarded "good to sufficient" protection for the legs of pedestrians.
Thanks to its pre-crash safety system, its electronic stability control, its seat belt warning system on all seats and its speed limiter, the NX also performed well in terms of driver assistance systems.
