For the 2023 model year, Mazda has made the CX-5's petrol engines more economical

The Mazda CX-5 has been on the market since 2017. Various updates have kept the mid-range SUV fresh. Now the Japanese have touched the gasoline engine.

For the 2023 model year, Mazda has made the CX-5's petrol engines more economical. The two 2,0-liter vacuum cleaners now have cylinder deactivation and a 24 volt hybrid system. Depending on the drive and equipment configuration, WLTP consumption should drop by up to 0,6 liters. The 121 kW/165 hp four-cylinder now requires 7,3 liters according to WLTP, the strong version with 143 kW/194 hp has a standard consumption of 7,6 liters.

The prices for that Mid-size SUV start from around 30.000 euros in the basic Prime-Line version, the more powerful four-cylinder is available in higher equipment variants from 38.300 euros. The two diesels remain on offer.
