Mercedes has now officially announced the launch date of the new Mercedes-AMG GT4 Coupé, a 4-door sports coupe. The extended version of the Sport GT is scheduled to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
Despite the Erlkönig foil, the basic design features of the AMG coupe unmistakable. The coupe's large, but not quite as concise Panamericana grille catches the eye. A design statement that runs through the entire AMG GT sports car family.
Mercedes-AMG GT4 Coupé – four-door expands the AMG family
A spoiler is mounted on the rear of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 Coupé. It provides the necessary contact pressure. However, the fenders are far less protruding than on the GT, GT C or GT R. Visually, the AMG 4-door looks more like a Mercedes-Benz CLS than a classic GT version.
According to the Mercedes-AMG the GT4 Coupé becomes an independent model line based on the E-Class platform. The all-wheel steering comes from AMG GT R, the drive will be a 4,0 liter V8 biturbo engine.
