Aquaplaning passé? Mercedes-AMG C 63 gets standard Dunlop Sport Maxx RT

April, April, does what he wants. With regard to the amount of precipitation that Petrus brings us these days, many a motorist would like to have proper tires on his vehicle. For future Mercedes-AMG C 63 drivers, this dream is now fulfilled as standard. Dunlop is now equipping the new Mercedes AMG C 63 and the C 63 T with the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT as standard. After intensive development work, the Mercedes-AMG original equipment release was finally achieved for the ultra-high-performance tires specially tuned to the new high-performance athlete, including, of course, race track testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, one of the most demanding tracks in the world.

What makes the new soles so special? The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT offers exceptional dry grip, excellent wet grip, precise and stable handling even at high cornering speeds and excellent braking performance. Everything you need in changeable weather. In addition, they bring the vehicle performance of the 476 PS strong Mercedes-AMG C 63 safe and sporty on the road. Dunlop has also paid attention to the optimum balance between the front and rear axles, relying on tire designs specifically tailored to the vehicle. "To meet the high dry handling requirements, a blend with a high proportion of different fillers, resins and specialty polymers is used to provide the ultimate dry-grip grip," said Percy Lemaire, Director Tire Technology at Goodyear Dunlop.

For the front axle there is the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT in the version 245 / 35 ZR19 (93Y) XL, for the rear axle in 265 / 35 ZR19 (98Y) XL. Currently there are also Dunlop tires tuned for Mercedes-AMG for models such as the A 45 AMG, the CLA 45 AMG and the G 63 AMG. In addition, Dunlop is a partner of AMG Customer Sports and, since the 2014 season, also an official tire partner of the AMG Driving Academy.
