Mercedes puts the E-Class as a convertible and coupe in two special models with a lot of additional equipment. In addition, the upper middle class in the Coupé and Cabrio will be equipped with smartphone integration and live traffic overview from autumn.
The "Sport Edition" costs around 4.370 euros surcharge on the respective base model. Then the coupé and convertible appear more prominently, including with a modified front and rear apron and a dual-flow exhaust system. Sports suspension and 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels are also included. Inside, among other things, black leather interior, multifunction sports steering wheel, steering wheel shift paddles and sports pedal system made of brushed stainless steel are part of the equipment. The “Sport Edition” can be ordered for all engines, the cheapest version (E 200 Coupé) equipped around it costs around 47.500 euros.
The “V8 Edition” (surcharge 7.973 euros) is based on the E 500 Coupé and E 500 Cabrio with their eight-cylinder and 300 kW / 408 hp. The package includes extras such as 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, special paintwork, sports suspension, nappa leather interior with decorative stitching in "porcelain" or "Classic Red" or a three-zone automatic climate control. As an edition model, the E 500 Coupé costs around 79.300 euros.
With the appearance of the two edition models, Mercedes-Benz is equipping all variants of the coupé and convertible of the E-Class with smartphone integration for Apple Carplay and Mirrorlink. For example, the iPhone also supports navigation and listening to music, receiving and sending SMS and emails, as well as Siri voice control. In addition, the models now also offer live traffic data, which requires the Garmin Maß Pilot or Comand Online.
