When Motown becomes Mopftown.
Model maintenance for the Mercedes-Benz GLA
Bigger, farther, better: the new Mercedes-Benz GLA was mended (Mopf = model care of the Swabians) and now shows itself from an even sportier side. The expanded range of engines makes it possible. In combination with a targeted visual accentuation in the interior and exterior design as well as the updated equipment variants, the new GLA is racing towards the lifestyle SUV at full speed in 2017 as well. A lot has happened since it was first presented in 2013. The compact SUV advanced from a standing start to a successful model in its segment and has shaped the class ever since. Its sporty, dynamic design language has been around since day one concise and is now supplemented by a comprehensive customization offer.
Changed bumpers, additional light alloy wheels and the new, attractive color "Canyon beige" characterize the 2017 vintage at first glance. In this way, the GLA visually underlines its SUV genes even more than before. The previous optional bi ‑ xenon headlights give way to soft LED headlights, which are characterized by a color temperature similar to daylight. When it comes to chassis, customers are spoiled for choice: there are three to choose from. A comfort chassis is available as standard. If you want it a little sportier, either the whole thing comes lower in connection with the AMG Line or the driving dynamics package or you decide straight away for the "SUV core" of the thing and take the off-road comfort suspension. Here the whole thing is raised another 30 millimeters and scores with improved off-road mobility, greater ground clearance and a striking off-road design.
Outside Hui and inside as well
The attractively designed interior of the GLA, with its high-quality materials and excellent workmanship, is enhanced by new seat covers and trim, chrome-plated controls. The freestanding 20,3 cm (8 ") media display presents itself as usual from its slim side. An exclusively offered 360 degree camera captures the immediate surroundings of the vehicle, which is displayed either in full screen or in seven different split-screen views. This includes a virtual top view of the vehicle - generated by the data from the four cameras: front, rear and one camera each in the exterior mirrors. Subtle, but effective accentuations learn the controls for switches the electric seat adjustment in the doors: in the future, they shine in silver chrome - just as the storage compartment in the center console is framed with a chrome frame. In addition, the nozzle rings were accentuated more and underline the SUV touch in the interior.
New upholstery fabrics and new upholstery colors are a testament to the attention to detail and leave even more room for customization. So much diversity is complemented by the exclusive Comfort Exclusive package, which features comfort seats with SUV-specific black leather in buffalo leather look. A lot of aluminum, wood or carbon complement the look here. The optional high-performance LED headlamps replace the previous bi-xenon headlamps, which make it unnecessary to change the bulb over the entire life of the vehicle. In the rear of the new GLA, full-LED lights with multilevel function are used, brake lights and turn signals are regulated in three intensities. So you are well equipped both during the day, at night and in any weather conditions. Thanks to many standard safety assistants, the occupants can feel as if they were in Abraham's lap.
