MG Cyberster is built

It often takes years before the green light is given for series production of a car study. In the case of the MG Cyberster, it was now much faster - thanks to crowdfunding.

MG Motors, subsidiary of the Chinese SAIC group, will mass-produce the electric roadster Cyberster, which was presented as a study in April. Via a crowdfunding platform, the Chinese received more than 5.000 expressions of interest with down payments of around 130 euros much earlier than expected. Thanks to the positive feedback, the sporting legacy of the traditional British brand can come back to life. A suitable opportunity for the market launch of the e-roadster could be the 100th birthday of the brand's first model, the MG 1924/14 Sports, which was built from 28.

However, a specific date has not yet been announced. There is also still no information on technical details. According to MG, the Cyberster concept should sprint from zero to 100 km / h in less than three seconds and travel 800 kilometers on one battery charge.
