MG Motors, subsidiary of the Chinese SAIC group, will mass-produce the electric roadster Cyberster, which was presented as a study in April. Via a crowdfunding platform, the Chinese received more than 5.000 expressions of interest with down payments of around 130 euros much earlier than expected. Thanks to the positive feedback, the sporting legacy of the traditional British brand can come back to life. However, a specific date has not yet been announced. There is also still no information on technical details. According to MG, the Cyberster concept should sprint from zero to 100 km / h in less than three seconds and travel 800 kilometers on one battery charge.
