Mia Electric 2.0

Mia Electric, discontinued in 2015 for lack of success, may have been ahead of its time. At least there are still investors who believe in their future. It should now begin in 2023.

In 2018, Fox Automotive Switzerland had planned a new edition of the Mia Electric electric micro-van, which was discontinued in 2015, for this year. This project has apparently failed, because now the Germany-based Cantium AG wants to produce a Mia 2023 that has been modernized in many ways under the new name Fox E-Mobility AG from spring 2.0.

The Mia 2.0, which is expected to cost around 16.000 euros including VAT and an exclusive environmental bonus, will receive new battery technology and the latest drive systems. On the other hand, the layout with the centrally positioned driver's seat, two sliding doors and a generous amount of space with extremely small external dimensions will be retained.

With a lean team, an outsourcing strategy with experienced partners in automotive development and mass production, the aim is to keep costs low and at the same time achieve high margins, according to Fox E-Mobility AG. With the distribution of the Mia 2.0 within the EU, a license program for countries outside the EU and the sale of CO2 credits to other car manufacturers, Fox's business model is to be based on three pillars of income.
