The last Mini with a petrol engine will start in 2025. Five years later, the British will completely put an end to internal combustion engines.
The BMW subsidiary Mini becomes a purely electric brand. CEO Oliver Zipse has now officially announced this. According to this, the last Mini with a combustion variant will come onto the market in 2025, and the portfolio will be completely electric at the beginning of the 2030s. With the Mini Cooper SE, the brand currently only has a pure e-model in its range, with the Countryman e-SUV to follow in 2023.
One can also expect a fully electric offer from Rolls-Royce, said Zipse. He did not give any specific information about the schedule. However, the first model should start in 2025.
