If you take a closer look at the sales figures for the “créateur d'Automobiles” - then you can see one thing above all in last year's sales decline: The brand's otherwise loyal private customers are missing. At least 11 percent was lost in 2012 compared to the previous year - in times when a brand like Škoda or Kia shines with new sales records, this is doubly painful.

In addition to the little Clio, who changed models last year, the e-mobiles also flopped. The blame for not even half of the sales figures for vehicles such as the Twizy and the Fluence cannot be found solely with the manufacturer. Here other countries in the EU are showing how one could stimulate interest in a “new mobility”.

Successful in a manageable framework was at the end of Renault in the end, only the low-cost brand Dacia, with the last year, after all, could reach a market share of 1.4%.

To paraphrase just as appropriately with “misery”, the current status of the cooperation between the importer and his dealers, the talks were broken off in October of last year.

 

And so there is a lot of work ahead of the Renault Germany boss “Achim Schaible” in order not to tick off 2013 as a year of misery.
