Mitsubishi presents the still nameless study of a new SUV at the Geneva Salon (March 5 to 15). The Japanese manufacturer does not give details, but it is likely a further development of the concept car XR presented in Tokyo in 2013. The Geneva study would again point to the successor to the compact SUV Mitsubishi ASX, which is expected for 2016.
As probably also the later series model, the study has an unspecified plug-in hybrid drive. The technology was introduced by the manufacturer in 2014 in the all-wheel drive mid-size SUV Outlander PHEV, and a variant with a purely front-wheel drive is planned for the ASX successor.
