Nürburgring 24h Race 2015 - The fastest

With 151 vehicles started, a colorful mix of all kinds of brands and models was represented at the 24h race this year. The starting field is divided into 21 vehicle classes, so that a balanced competition can arise in each vehicle class. And where there is a competition, there are “fastest laps” and a vehicle that has driven the fastest lap.

Class AT

The BMW 135 D GTR with start number 208, driven by Dave Cox.

On lap 77 he had his personal fastest lap with a 9: 39.556 and the fastest time in the alternative drive class. Four vehicles were rated at the finish, the 135D GTR came third in its class. Total laps driven: 3.

The Opel Astra OPC Cup with start number 250. At the wheel in round 104 the son of Volker Strycek, Robin Strycek. With an 9: 44.833, he was the fastest in his class.

The team from Strycek, Strycek and Oestreich, Oestreich also won their own class with 132 driven laps and a lead of 1 minute and 8 seconds to the second in the class. Total scores were in the CUP 1 5 vehicles.

The BMW with starting number 303 and the drivers Schrey, Partl, Ebertz and Weidinger at the wheel. The fastest lap ridden was a 9: 32.437 in lap 17. With 116 laps runners, they came in 7th place in the class and 79 overall in the strongest cup class.

There were three starters in the SP 2T. The fastest vehicle in this class was the Hyundai i30 from Hyundai Germany with start number 131. At the wheel sat Schrick, Schumann, Bohrer and Naumann. With an 10: 01,026 in 8 round you were not only the fastest in the class, you also won them. In the overall rank they took place 71.

The oldest vehicle was the fastest in the class SP 3 with an 9: 50,133. The Opel Manta with the start number 146 was driven by Strycek, Beckmann, Hass and Schulten. In addition, the Opel Manta won his class and came in overall 52 finish.

In the class SP 3T it was the SUBARU WRX STi with the starting number 114, which had the fastest time in lap 120. An 9: 09,881, driven by Marcel Lasee. His co-pilots were van Dam, Yamauchi-san and Tim Schrick.

The only Subaru team won the class SP 3T also sovereign. In the end, 143 driven laps were on the payroll. Number two in the class barely on 131 rounds!

In class SP5 there were two starters. The fastest lap was the start number 106 with an 9: 43.659. In the end, the team still lacked 1: 21 on the winner. 89 laps were driven in this class. The pilots on the BMW 1 M Coupe were: Radish, Rich, Nury and Purtscher. The fastest lap was Richard Purtscher.

 

SP 6

 

In the SP 6 class, the BMW M3 GTR with start number 77 was the fastest. With 9: 22,297, they had clearly the best lap time among the 9 competitors. Dangers in the sixth round. In the end, however, it was only enough for rank 5.

There were three starters in the SP 8T. With a 9: 42,096, the number 47 in lap three drove the fastest lap time of the race. In the end, unfortunately, it was only enough for third place in the class and a 135.sten overall. At the wheel of the BMW E82 drove: Gass, Hahn, Konrad and cousin.

Presumably the most important vehicle class of the entire race and up to the twelfth overall rank, all vehicles came from the top class. The fastest race lap of the vehicle class and the race was the overall fourth of the race, the Marc VDS BMW Z4 GT3 with start number 26. At the start of the race, the SP-Pro class consisted of three vehicles, at the finish it was two, with a gap of 3:33 minutes. The winner was the Lexus LFA Code-X class with starting number 53. The fastest lap, however, was the Manthey-Wochenspiegel Porsche with starting number 10. On lap 19 of 23 the Porsche burned an 8: 32,490 into the Eifel asphalt.

In the class SP-X there was only one starter after the accident of the yellow Glickenhaus SCG 003c and that was the black painted sister car with the start number 9. With an 8: 26.480 the Scuderia Glickenhaus Renner piloted by Lauck, Franchitti, Jahn and Mailleux showed his potential. In the end, it was even enough for a place 35 in the overall classification. And despite many problems in the final phase.

 

SP10 GT4

The class SP 10 GT4 belonged in principle to the Aston Martin Vantage V8 after GT4 regulations. The fastest lap time was the 88er Aston with Preacher, Thomson, Duffy and Lungstrass behind the wheel.
