Actually a mundane press release:
With the new aeroacoustic wind tunnel in the Sindelfingen development center, Mercedes-Benz intends to further expand its leading position in terms of aerodynamics. In the most modern and quietest wind tunnel in the world, measurements up to a wind speed of 265 km / h can be carried out. Over a period of five years, a total of more than € 230 million was invested in the expansion of the Mercedes-Benz Technology Center with the climatic wind tunnels and the driving simulator, and now the new aeroacoustic wind tunnel.

And actually I would not worth the first message. Because I simply assume that an automobile manufacturer spends a lot of money on researching and testing its new models. But what I particularly liked then were the photos that came with it.
Such a wind tunnel is apparently a great place for photos - I find this photo especially brilliant:
The current models CLA and also the new S-Class already know that the aerodynamic work of the Stuttgart has paid off so far.
The CLA comes in the “BlueEFFICIENCY Edition”To a drag coefficient of 0.22 and the S-Class as S 300 Bluetec Hybrid to an impressive 0.24! With the new generation of wind tunnels, Mercedes-Benz should stay “close to the wind” in the future and present new models with good aerodynamic values. Let's wait and look at the nice wind tunnel photos.
