No half things on the subject of security. The C4 Picasso has been awarded five out of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.
In addition to the 6 airbags, the C4 Picasso also offers active belts, a brake assistant, ESP and a warning device for the “blind spot”. Traction control and a high beam assistant complete the armada of aids. The front passenger airbag can be deactivated for the installation of rebound child seats and there is space for 3 child seats on the rear bench with an Isofix bracket.
Attraction, Seduction, Intensive or Exclusive - the French appreciate the choice. Right from the start, the LED daytime running lights, the cruise control with speed limiter and the large, wide-angle panoramic windshield. The Seduction equipment includes armrests, a fully automatic air conditioning system, the light and rain sensor and also the fully foldable passenger seat. There are also small folding tables for the second row on the backrests of the front seats.
In the Intensive version, it is already becoming luxurious in the interior of the C4 Picasso. The large 12 inch HD monitor pulls into the center console, the fabric upholstery in black and slate gray are included, the key is replaced by a Keyless-Go system and the children's package with the second interior mirror, sunblinds on the side windows and a sliding rear seat are included ,
Indulge in French luxury to the full - if you order the Exclusive version. The 3D taillights at the rear make the C4 Picasso look classy, the side windows are more tinted, 17 inch light alloy wheels turn in the wheel arches and the cruise control has an active control function. In addition, the tailgate will be electric, the interior will have a perfume dispenser and “fully automatic parking” will also be possible. There is also the lounge package with a massage function for the driver, a relax passenger seat with fold-out lower leg support and the elaborate first-class headrests on all seats.
This makes the C4 Picasso the driving business class lounge!
It is this huge windshield of the C4 Picasso that makes you feel like sitting under the open sky. If you add the large panoramic glass roof, you can flood the interior with light. It creates a wonderfully open atmosphere. In addition, the cab-forward design of the C4 in conjunction with the large panoramic windscreen ensures a very good overview. At the back you can help yourself with a reversing camera. (Intensive and Exclusive)
The steering xenon headlights (low beam and high beam) cost an additional € 990 and cannot be ordered in the Attraction and Seduction equipment options. These two equipment lines are therefore fundamentally out of the question.
Every night trip and even more every night in the rain is xenon light a big help In addition, a current lighting technology increases the attractiveness of the vehicle in the subsequent resale.
The C4 Picasso remembers the idea of traveling, not racing. Even if he misses any French indirectness, which one said the cars from France so completely. So his chassis is more likely to appeal to the comfortable, than the sporty driver. And that's just as well. Pseudo sports cars are already enough.

Warranty & Service
Citroën gives the compulsory two year warranty on the C4 Picasso. If one compares the first impression of the new C4 Picasso with how one felt new Citroën a few years ago, the brand is noticeably on the upswing. The interior design issues have been tackled massively and the new EMP2 platform seems to be a great success. (Also shown on the new Peugeot 308 - driving report)
The operating costs are according to ADAC in positive territory, only with the value stability, the French are still struggling.
While my experience and the subjective feeling a few years ago would have clearly discouraged the purchase of a Frenchman, the case with the new C4 Picasso is completely different.
Conclusion & recommendation
Citroën has put a refreshing family van to the test. Here are the choice of materials, workmanship and design. In addition, the diesel engines of the French are extremely efficient and the entire package of the new C4 Picasso really right.
So the buy recommendation:[one_third last = "no"]
Company Car Driver
Attractive leasing conditions also make the C4 Picasso interesting for leasing car and company car drivers. The base price of the e-HDI with 115 PS in the Exclusive version is joined by 500 € for the Track Assist and the automatic high beam and a further 990 € for the xenon headlights. The 230 Volt connector is already included in the Exclusive version and so 31.784 € will be applied to the leasing calculator.[/ one_third] [one_third last = "no"]
The young family
Here, too, the choice falls on the 116 hp diesel, but with the Seduction equipment. The base price of € 24.990 adds € 200 for the children's package and € 250 for the seat heating. For € 25.440 this is a wonderful family van for the young family.[/ one_third] [one_third last = "yes"]
Who can, who can and thus remains unfulfilled in the BlueHDI with 150 PS Diesel and the exclusive equipment. At the base price of 32.040 € comes the full package of 360 Grad Park Assist, the leather equipment for the perfect lounge feeling, the Lane Keeping and Highbeam Assist and the large panoramic glass roof. The mitlenkenden xenon headlights and the JBL sound system must not be missing. For 35.710 € then parks a chic Frenchman at the door, spoiled with luxury and lounge feeling. That's what I call savoir vivre.[/ one_third]
