“It was a difficult stint. Actually, our tactic was to make the first stop early to break out of the change window. But then I realized that our tires are perfect. I was traveling very quickly. So we stayed outside longer and only then changed tires. In my second stint it started to rain and it was very tricky to drive with slicks. But I got through well. ”
“I jumped over the top in Plant Garden II. The place where I landed was very wet and I lost the tail. I didn't stand a chance. I still tried to brake immediately. But the car turned 360 degrees. I hit the guardrail in the front right. There was no warning of how wet it really was in this area. ”
“The first stint was promising. We made up some positions and were just outside the top 10 after the first pit stop. So the pace of the car is right. I am confident about the further course of the race. It is a great honor for me as an American to be here. I really wanted to take part in this 24-hour race. The Nordschleife is the biggest challenge that a racing driver can face. At the same time, however, it is the route that gives you the most if you complete a perfect lap. ”
“It was an incredible feeling to drive the start and to hear the masses of fans cheering. I will remember this moment all my life. Overall my stint was good and I had a good fight with our direct competitor in the class. I really enjoyed it."
