With the luxury versions Mercedes-Maybach The Stuttgart-based company expanded its range in the S-Class last year, and the extra-long Pullman limousine is now celebrating its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show (March 5 to 15).
In the latest model from the Stuttgart sub-brand, there are four individual seats behind the electrically lowerable and black-out partition in a vis-a-vis seating arrangement. Anyone traveling in the direction of travel will take a seat on executive seats, which offer countless adjustment options for the backrests, seats and footrests. If necessary, two additional passengers can travel on the fold-out seats against the direction of travel. On request, the flagship can also be delivered without additional seats.
With a length of 6,50 meters, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is another meter longer than the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. At 4,42 meters, the wheelbase of the new luxury model exceeds the length of a Mercedes B-Class (4,39 meters). At 1,60 meters, the Pullman is also more than 10 centimeters higher than a Mercedes S-Class.
The luxury liner is no compromise in terms of performance either: the top model is powered by a V12 biturbo, which generates 390 kW / 530 hp (830 Nm torque) from a displacement of six liters.
The interior has been refined again for use as a state body. The interior is completely covered with leather. In addition to the headlining, door frames and seat consoles are also covered with the noble animal skin. On the headlining, three analog instruments inform the rear passengers about the outside temperature, speed and time.
The first customers will receive their vehicles early next year. They have to invest at least half a million for this. The Mercedes-Maybach S2014 presented at the end of 600 has the same drive, but costs around 188.000 euros. The S500 starts at 134.050 euros, but this Stuttgart is powered by an eight-cylinder biturbo engine that generates 4,7 kW / 335 hp from 455 liters.
