With the luxury SUV Bentayga, which comes on the market in 2016, the luxury sedan and coupe specialist wants Bentley benefit from the ongoing SUV trend. The British may be expanding their portfolio further in this direction, Bentley boss Wolfgang Dürrheimer gave the British magazine "Auto Express" a hint.
So he announced that "further SUV derivatives" are being considered. When asked for details, whether it could be, for example, different body versions or a smaller version of the Bentayga, he simply answered "yes" according to the magazine.
Both would not be unlikely. In the segment of the mid-range SUV à la Jaguar F-Pace or Audi Q5 there would still be room for a particularly luxurious model from Great Britain, after all it is the British's self-defined claim to set a new standard for luxury SUVs. But a body version with a coupe character, such as the BMW X6 or Mercedes GLE coupe, would also be conceivable, for example.
