Mini DTM and design workshop for children
During the summer holidays in Baden-Württemberg, the Mercedes-Benz Museum offers supervised themed workshops for children between eight and twelve years from July 30 to August 16, 2013 from Tuesday to Friday.
With the Mini DTM, up-and-coming racers can demonstrate their talent and immerse themselves in the world of motorsport. Under the guidance of experts, children learn how the remote-controlled model cars work. Before the 1:10 scale DTM vehicles are launched, they are assembled and screwed together by the young visitors. The race track on site is at a speed of up to 30 km / h.
The Mini-DTM is aimed at children between eight and twelve years old and takes place every Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. Participation costs 6 euros per child. The number of seats is limited. Registration in the Classic Customer Center is required.
In addition to the mini DTM, children have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of automotive designers at the design workshop in the campus area and to design their own dream car. Whether large off-road vehicle, summer convertible or sporty racing car: When sketching and designing, the small automotive designers can let their imaginations run wild. The designs are then transferred into three dimensions by the children modeling their individual vehicle with clay. As a souvenir, the models can be taken home.
The design workshop for children between the ages of eight and twelve takes place Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is free of charge. The number of seats is limited. Registration in the Classic Customer Center is required.
