160 racing cars, about 600 drivers - the 44. Edition of the ADAC Zurich 24h race promises a lot of excitement and action! Team ZAKSPEED will debut this coming weekend with the new Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. The potential could already be seen in the previous VLN test runs and in the qualification race.
The 24 hours on the Nordschleife put teams, drivers and racing cars to the test every year. The ZAKSPEED-Nissan recently showed an aspiring performance, even if small technical problems prevented a better performance in the VLN races. But the strong driver combination of "old master" Tom Coronel, the two German GT Academy winners Florian Strauß and Marc Gasser, and Henrik Still will do their best in the traditional race.
Things are getting serious for Peter Zakowski's team on Thursday, 26. May 2016, with free practice at 15: 45 o'clock. The first qualifying follows on the same evening, with the second part on Friday at 09: 30 o'clock. Then the participation in the top 30 qualifying is decided.
"Unfortunately, we missed the automatic qualification for the top 30 qualifying session by just one place at two VLN events, which is a shame because times were very short," says Peter Zakowski, Team Principal Team ZAKSPEED. “Nevertheless, we are confident and are particularly looking forward to the race. 24 hours are very long, anything can happen. We have a great team with excellent support from Nissan Germany. Everything is possible."
