The tenth generation of the Honda Civic announces its presence at the Geneva Motor Show (3 until 13, March). At the spring fair debuts the very near-series prototype of the five-door, the production model is likely to take another year in coming.
The tenth edition will be optically less eccentric than the last models with their futuristic styling. In general, the Japanese now want to align themselves more closely to the European competition. Not least because the current model could never meet sales expectations on the continent. The five-door will continue to be built in Swindon, UK.
The tenth-generation four-door Civic sedan has been sold in the US since the end of November. A coupe variant is also expected to be launched there shortly. In Europe, both versions will probably not exist.
