The Korean manufacturer Kia has launched the new basic version "Start" for its small car Picanto and the small car Rio and thus reduced the entry prices. The three-door Picanto with a 48,5 kW / 66 hp 1,0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine costs 8.990 euros. It consumes an average of 4,5 liters and emits 105 grams of CO2 per kilometer. So far, the Attract version for 9.550 euros was the basic model of the series. At least 9.990 euros are due for the Rio. It is powered by a 1,2 liter four-cylinder and 62 kW / 84 hp. Its consumption is 5,0 liters (CO2 115 g / km).
Air conditioning, central locking, on-board computer, power steering, Isofix bracket, luggage compartment lighting and remote unlocking of the tank cap are among the standard features of the entry-level versions. The Rio also has a radio remote control for central locking and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors on board.
