News: Renault Talisman Grandtour - great lucky charm

It doesn't work without a station wagon: Renault is once again putting a “Grand Tour” model with an extra large cargo space alongside its new Talisman sedan. The premiere takes place at the IAA in Frankfurt (17. To 27. September). A maximum of 1.700 liters should fit behind the electric tailgate, with full seating still 572 liters.

Both values clearly exceed those of the predecessor Laguna Grandtour (508 to 1.593 liters) and are in the upper midfield of the usual class. At 4,86 meters - exactly the size of the sedan - the Frenchman is one of the longer models in the competition.

Two petrol and three diesel engines are available for the drive. The basic diesel is an 1,5 liter engine with 81 kW / 110 PS, and a 1,6 liter engine with either 96 kW / 130 PS or 118 kW / 160 PS ranks above it. Manual and dual clutch transmissions with six gears are available for power transmission. The two petrol engines produce 110 kW / 150 PS and 147 kW / 200 PS and are connected to the seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

In terms of equipment options and technology, the range is the same as for the sedan. In addition to LED headlights and a head-up display, there is also all-wheel steering and an adaptive chassis. The manufacturer does not yet list prices. In the predecessor generation still offered under the name Laguna, the Grand Tour started at just under 25.000 euros.
