Honda Civic

With the Civic, Honda is now electrifying its last European model. The hybrid will start in autumn 2022.

Honda will bring the eleventh generation of its compact Civic model to Germany in autumn 2022. When it comes to driving the five-door, the Japanese rely exclusively on the hybrid technology known from the small car Jazz and the SUVs HR-V and CR-V, in which the combustion engine primarily functions as a power source for the electric drive. Visually, the new edition is based on the style introduced in generation ten with a long bonnet and coupé-like roof line.

The new Civic has already celebrated its premiere in the USA, albeit as a four-door sedan. There you can already see the new cockpit design, which is based on a clearer and less rugged style than before. The two petrol engines with up to 132 kW / 180 PS offered overseas will not play a role for Europe, but there could be a chance for the re-launched "Type R" sports variant with over 300 PS.

While the US model will also be manufactured on site, the cars for Europe are likely to come directly from Japan in the future after the British plant is closed. Prices are not yet known, the current generation starts at 21.300 euros.
